A truly luxurious, highly-secure, low-maintenance lifestyle in the heart of stylish South Yarra.
This is why many discerning buyers are choosing to downsize in Capitol Grand, the landmark development under construction on the corner of Chapel St and Toorak Rd, South Yarra.
Capitol Grand will house some of Melbourne’s finest luxury apartments and a host of exquisite amenities. Private pools, gyms, dining areas, a library, 22-seat cinema and elevated gardens designed by Melbourne landscape architect Jack Merlo will create the ultimate lifestyle haven.
On top of these, Capitol Grand will have its own 24-hour New York-style concierge service.
An internationally-renowned address
Capitol Grand is the vision of Larry Kestelman, the Executive Group Chairman of LK Property Group.
Kestelman says that when his team first sat down with world-renowned architects Bates Smart, they had a distinct goal in mind.
“We were very clear that we wanted to create a landmark building that would draw comparisons with other internationally-renowned luxury addresses,” says Kestelman. “From the outside, an unmistakable vision of architectural brilliance and on the inside, a building that would embrace every aspect of New York-style designer apartment living.”
“Having been in the market myself for a luxury apartment, I knew there was a gap in the Melbourne market: a building designed especially for owner-occupiers, and downsizers in particular. With Capitol Grand now over 75% sold, we feel we’ve judged the market well.”
Much more than a landmark building
Kestelman is keen to stress that the exclusiveness of Capitol Grand isn’t just a result of its address or amenities.
“What we set out to achieve and what we’re accomplishing is allowing people to downsize while maintaining the level of luxury they are used to in their current homes,” he says.
“The combination of European appliances and beautiful natural materials – including timber, bronze and stone – will create the most stunning residences.
“However, we’re going that step further. Purchasers of our premium apartments will be assigned their own interior architect to customise their apartment’s layout and design to suit their own individual tastes,” says Kestelman.
Overseeing this process is Alla DeLion, a director of interior architecture firm Studio Mint.
“It’s been very exciting to work directly with purchasers to create residences tailored to their unique lifestyles, many of whom are couples and families downsizing from large suburban houses,” says DeLion.
“There is so much we can do. For example, many buyers have sought our services in order to add additional kitchens, butler’s pantries, his and her bathrooms, or in some cases merge apartments,” she says.
“The feedback we’re getting is that our service is making buyers feel really connected, highly satisfied and confident with their decision to purchase off-the-plan. People have said that it’s a similar experience to working with an architect to design a house,” says DeLion.
Capitol Grand is currently being built by the internationally-renowned construction group Multiplex. Residents will begin moving in next year.
